Texas Image Sand Volleyball
Texas Image Volleyball Club is proud to introduce our new summer Sand Volleyball program. This program is a great way for players to further develop their volleyball skills. Each practice will include: ball control, game strategy, team play, a strong emphasis on fundamental skills, and strength and conditioning.
NCAA Approves Sand Volleyball as Emerging Sport
The cost for Texas Image Sand is $645.00. A down payment of $345.00 is at the end of tryouts, followed by a final payment of $300.00 due on June 5th, 2009.

Texas Image Sand Volleyball Tryout Schedule*
*Tryouts are being held to match players of similar skill for players that do not already have partners. There is no cost for tryouts. Tryouts will be held at the Winning Edge facility due to weather concerns. Everyone will make a team. Tryouts for May 15th have been cancelled but you can still sign up online or sign up in person.
Sand practice will be held at Wining Edge (Texas Image) on Tuesday the May 19th and Thursday the May 21st from 5:00 - 7:00. Conditioning will be done at the beginning of practice, please bring running shoes and court shoes. The sand court will be ready the week of May 25th.
Tournament fees are not included and will range from $10 to $20 per individual depending on the entry fee. Players pick the tournaments they wish to play in. Players may play with the same partner all summer or switch up their teams for each tournament. Players may sign up as individuals or as a team (2). Practices will consist of 6 to 8 players, trained by a Texas Image Beach Volleyball Coach, twice a week (location TBA) on Monday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday. Practice times are 4:00pm - 6:00pm, 6:00pm - 8:00pm, or 8:00pm - 10:00pm (with 30 minutes conditioning included.)
1) How do the players get a partner to play with?
Answer: They can pick a partner on their own or, if they don't have one, they will be able to choose or be paired up with others that do not have a partner yet.
2) When do the players need to know who there partner is? Answer: They will need to know the week prior to the tournament that they will be playing in. The players will need to tell their coaches so the coaches can keep a record. We do this so that we can ensure everyone will have a partner. The player can pick any other player from the Texas Image Sand Program, same age or not. If one player is older than the other the pair will have to play up to the older player's age group.
3) What if one player gets hurt or gets sick and they are scheduled for a tournament? Does the pair have to quit the tournament? Answer: No, the healthy player can still play as long as we can find a partner for them. However if that is not possible then the healthy player may have to forfeit the rest of the tournament unless something else can be worked out.
4) How are tryouts going to be this year? Answer: Tryouts are being held to match players of similar skill to other players that do not already have partners. Everyone will make a team. Each player that does not already have a partner will be placed with other players their own age and skill level as clodely as possible. There wil be six players to each coach and twelve players/two coaches to a court at a time.
5) Where will tryouts be held? Answer: Tryouts will be help at the Winning Edge facility due to weather concerns.
6) Where will practices be held? Answer: Practices will be held at the First Baptist Church of Arlington located at 300 S. Center, Arlington, TX 76010.
7) What should be worn to tryouts and practices? Answer: Uniform bottoms must have a fabric minimum length of 7" at the hip. Uniform tops, sports bras, or bathing suit tops must be accompanied with a tank top or t-shirt. Tankinis are acceptable.
